Used for catheter positioning in a tortuous or kinked ureter, traversing a stone en route to the kidney, or in cases demanding enhanced control and high radiopacity. The double flexible tipped design permits safe entrance into the body and guards against damage of endoscopic equipment when introducing over the wire guide.
The nitinol core allows for maximum deflection without kinking. One to one torque control allows for precise navigation throughout the most challenging anatomy. The shaft of the wire guide is marked in 5cm increments for endoscopic visualisation during fluoroscopy.
The AQ® coating is a microthin layer of hydrophilic polyment that when activated, attracts and holds water and other liquids to the wire guide, creating a low friction surface.
